Merpati Putih, or MP for short, is the Indonesian Royal system of Pencak Silat. Pencak Silat is a general term for the Indonesian Martial Arts (like Kung Fu-for Chinese Arts or Karate for Japanese arts). There are over 700 unique styles of Pencak Silat native to Indonesia & Malaysia. Merpati Putih is different than any Martial Art ever seen ANYWHERE before it’s public release. What makes MP special is the unique ability to Develop, Harness, and Control Massive Amounts of Tenaga Dalam or Inner Power -(also called Chi, Ki, Prana, Subtle Energy, or Bio Energy). Using a very specific and patented series of body postures & breathing techniques, Merpati Putih is truly one of the world’s rarities.

Merpati Putih techniques build Power faster and in greater amounts than any other method known publicly at this time and teaches people how to use their power for many different benefits including : (1)-Rebalancing Chronic Aches, Pains, & Illnesses like Asthma, (2)-Massively Increasing Overall Health, Aerobic & Anaerobic Stamina & has been shown to lower Blood Pressure & Cholesterol, (3)-Developing Razor Sharp Mental Focus & Concentration, (4)-Protecting ones own body from injury, & (5)-Increasing Healing Ability to shorten Recuperation/Regeneration time.

Merpati Putih is not an exclusively Internal Martial Art such as Tai Chi Chuan, Pa Kua Chuan, or Hsing-I Chuan, nor is it an exclusively External Martial Art like Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Jujitsu, Kenpo, or most styles of Kung Fu. By combining our Breathing techniques and Movements we are able to produce Amazing results that NO other system can offer. The Easiest to see is projecting our Power to protect us. In MP, breaking Poured Concrete (instead of Cinder Bricks), and stacks of Solid Steel Plates, Well Pump Handles, and Carbon Steel Mill Files are Common with as little as 18 months of training. At advanced levels, MP students commonly break Granite slabs, Car Suspensions, & even sections of Light Rail Train Tracks! Some even with their Heads!

To achieve these awesome results, there is no need to forego Love, Life, & Family while meditating in a cave or monastery with no TV or Fast-food for 25 years. In MP We train only TWICE per week! With MP you can eat what you like and do what you like. We each walk our own path & each path is different. Our motto is:

Translated, Merpati Putih means ‘White Dove’, the symbol of Peace & Justice for all of Humanity. We are an outstanding member of the Martial Arts Federation For World Peace & to train in MP, a peaceful demeanor with personal & cultural tolerance is a must. We are all in the same boat and to hurt each other is to hurt ourselves. MP Internal Power building & management is unmatched, but we pride ourselves in doing what is right-We do not teach bullies or social predators of any type! Merpati Putih is not based on having power over others, but rather, power over ourselves to make our dreams come true and our lives better.

PPS Betako Merpati Putih di Belanda mulai diperkenalkan pada tahun 1978 oleh Almarhum Bapak Haruman, anggota Kopassus yang bertugas pada Kedutaan Besar Republik Indonesia (KBRI) Den Haag dan pelatihan diberikan awalnya hanya untuk di lingkungan KBRI. Kelompok Latihan Merpati Putih KBRI Den Haag, diresmikan oleh Guruh Besar pada tanggal 8 Agustus 1986, dan sejak tahun 1991 pelatihan Merpati Putih dibuka untuk umum. Para pelatih Merpati Putih Kelompok Latihan (Kolat) Den Haag.

PPS Betako Merpati Putih is a bare-handed martial arts school under Ikatan Pencak Silat Indonesia (IPSI). It was established in April 2, 1963 with its central operations in Jakarta and its central knowledge facility in Yogyakarta. Its purpose is to preserver the original heritage of Indonesia, that is Pencak Silat. MP also teaches its members to have discipline and resposibility towards other and its mother country, Indonesia. Every MP members will need to uphold the "Tri Prasetya", which are :

• To Obey and to Believe in one Supreme God
• To Protect its Country, Indonesia
• To Obey and be Loyal to the Merpati Putih
  

Merpati Putih itself is an abbreviation of "MErsudi PAtitising TIndak PUsakane TItising Hening", which translates as : “To Seek & To Find That Which Is Right, Doing In Silence”. Translated, Merpati Putih means ‘White Dove’, the symbol of Peace & Justice for all of Humanity. The values that all MP members have is :
